Ariel Fabrizio Ojeda

Ariel Fabrizio Ojeda Aguilera assumed the position of Director of the Executive Cabinet of the Attorney General of the State in March 2018. In that role, he worked in support of the Attorney General.

Before taking up that position, he held the position of Director General of Prevention and Transparency at the Secretaria Nacional Anticorrupción - SENAC from 2014 to 2018. During that role, he participated in the drafting of the National Plan for the Prevention of Corruption approved by the Executive Power in 2016, in the drafting of the Draft Organic Law of the National Anti-Corruption Secretariat, coordinated the implementation of the National Plan for the Prevention of Corruption, the Corruption Risk Map, as well as the Inter-institutional Network for Transparency and Anti-Corruption of the Executive Power, which included more than 80 institutions, in addition to other important activities.

Prior to that, he served as Director of Institutional Strengthening (Internal Control, Quality, Organization and Methodology, Anti-Corruption) at the Secretaria de Accion Social from 2013 to 2014. During his tenure in that department, the successful implementation of the Standard Model of Internal Control for public institutions in Paraguay was achieved at the Social Action Secretariat, as well as the design and organization of the project for the certification of quality under the 9001:2008 standard in the payment process of the Tekoporá Program (Conditional Cash Transfers).

In addition, he served in diplomatic functions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as First Secretary of the Paraguayan Embassy to the Kingdom of Spain in Madrid from 2003 to 2009.

Between 2002 and 2003, he held the position of Director General of Cooperation and International Relations at the Ministry of Education and Culture, where he also served as Secretary General of the National Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO.

Mr. Ojeda graduated as a lawyer from the Faculty of Law of the National University of Asunción in 1998, receiving the Diploma of Honor as the Second Best Graduate and a member of the Honor Roll. During his university studies, he was a student representative before the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Law, a member of the University Council of the National University of Asunción, and a member of the University Assembly.

Furthermore, he holds a Master's degree in European Union Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, and obtained the Advanced Studies Diploma in Administrative Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, with an outstanding qualification. He is an expert in rhetoric and legal argumentation from the same university, as well as a graduate in Democracy and Public Decisions from the University of Barcelona, Spain.
